Frensly Bouquet, 27, was found by police at 1:45 a.m. after they responded to a report of a shooting on the 2100 block of McCarter Highway, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:05 a.m., Stephens and Fragé said.
